new bamboo cutlery . lots of big deep scoopy ones utilising the bamboo joint this time round . very strong , thin and light , warm to the touch unlike steel or heavy materials . each one hand carved and totally unique . The darker brown ones are from bamboo framework from thatched roofs of 100+ yr old japanese houses being demolished . dark from decades of smoke . very hard , and hard on my chisels too . i will be selling a few ( for the first time ever ) at a shop exhibition produced by Jurgen Lehl in tokyo .... more details to come . also i will be holding a carving workshop Oct 10/11 in Kozaki , chiba . more details to come about that also . thanks !
